Anna Swain
A life inspired by studying textile arts from all over the world, Anna’s work process is intuitive.

Interweaving textile arts with photography she draws on nature as a constant source of inspiration through beauty of form, function and her own personal wonder. It is however, human interaction with nature that forms the strongest narrative in her work, drawing the viewer in with small unobtrusive details and inconsistencies.

Using stitching, ‘unweaving’ and ‘reweaving’ techniques, Anna encourages the viewer to step closer to examine these details and question how small actions impact the whole.
